Each month for many years we have been holding talks at the Old Peninsula Hotel. These talks have been recorded and are available through our YouTube site. Click on the button below to view them.
Click on the button below to access the reading lists that we have set up on TROVE (the National Library of Australia’s online resources). Our TROVE reading lists consist of material relevant to the history of Maylands found in certain digitised Australian newspapers. These lists are not yet complete or comprehensive, and anyone with a TROVE account can help them grow and become more useful by adding articles to the lists, sorting them into ascending date order, tagging the articles mentioned or correcting TROVE’s digitised text for the listed articles.
Maylands Historical and Peninsula Association acknowledges the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, live, and learn. We acknowledge that we tell the stories of Noongar Country and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples should be aware that this website may contain images or names of people who have passed away.
